Circa 1905 Tully Frederick "Topsy" Hartsel Studio Cabinet Photograph by Horner. From the estate of the early Philadelphia Athletics star that provided the 1910 World Series trophy and game worn jersey also offered within this auction comes this artful photographic portrait snapped by the era's most celebrated baseball photographer. Carl J. Horner, whose name and Boston studio address are stamped on the lower mount, is responsible for many of the Dead Ball Era's most recognizable portraits, with scores of his images (including the famous Honus Wagner T206) reproduced on trading cards of the day. This was Topsy's personal copy of his own Horner portrait, measuring 5x7" in size including the cardboard mount. Some paper remnants from scrapbook removal are evident on the verso, but the front presents at an incredible NRMT level.

Shipping: Flat Material, Small (view shipping information)
