<B>Circa 1880 Connecticut State Agricultural Society Medal in Bronze, XF.</B></I> 76mm, plain edge, unlisted in Julian and struck outside the U.S. Mint, in its original leatherette and velvet box. Obverse: woman facing left, crowning implements of agriculture and industry with a laurel wreath; behind her is a locomotive and farm lands, and behind that is a radiant sun. Below the scene is the Connecticut coat of arms and the state motto: Qui Transtulit Sustinet. Around: Connecticut State Agricultural Society / Incorporated 1852. Reverse: two large sheaths of grain around: Awarded To Dr. E.B. Lyon New Britain For Skill In Training Animals.
