A head and shoulders portrait of Pitt faces left on the obverse, bounded by legend GVLIELMVS PITT. The reverse has a seven line legend, THE MAN/WHO HAVING/SAVED THE/PARENT PLEADED/WITH SUCCESS/FOR HER/CHILDREN, and refers to the Great Commoner's efforts to repeal the Stamp Act.
