<B>Cimarron (RKO, 1931).</B></I> Lobby Card (11" X 14"). This Academy Award winning picture was adapted from the great Edna Ferber novel of the same name. The film cost over 1.5 million dollars to produce, an astounding amount in the Depression-era economy. A tale of the Oklahoma Land Rush, the film was the first Western to win Best Picture and, until "Dances with Wolves" and "Unforgiven," the only one. This lobby card has light staining on the lower border, a small edge tear, corner bumps, and pieces of paper tape on the back. There are a couple of pinholes in the borders, and three in the background of the image. A dramatic image of star Richard Dix in his Oscar-nominated role.
