Churchill (Clementine)<P> "AID TO RUSSIA" FUND. A 24-line letter, signed Clementine S. Churchill, thanking a donor for his "generous contribution". Dated January 1942 and written on 10 Downing Street notepaper. She states that the fund amounted to well over a million pounds, and that the Red Cross would be able to use it to send substantial supplies of drugs and surgical equipment to Russia.
