Original Casein on Canvas Painting Entitled "Waterfall" by Chicago Artist Chuck Wood 1928-2010. About the artist: Although artist Chuck Wood painted primarily for his own satisfaction, he gained increasing success and recognition for his work throughout the art world, among critics, fellow artists and art lovers. Born in Cannonsburg, PA, Wood was raised in Chicago and attended the Art Instute of Chicago. Inspired by Andrew Wyeth and local illustrator Lyman Simson. Three of Wood's pieces hang in the Vincent Price Collection and many private collections across the country. Many pieces have been displayed in prominant Chicago Shows and competions. The Butler Institute of American Art in Youngstown, OH. staged a show of his work titled Chuck Wood --50 Years of the Real, one of the paintings "Oaxaca Window" was listed at $ 20,000. He was also featured by CBS for a series dedicated to the arts in Chicago. Wood owed a successful Commercial Photographic Co. and was an avid antique and nostalgia collector. Painting however was his passion and found it to be more gratifying. Excellent Condition. 52 inches X 42 inches.

1. Condition of Merchandise - In publishing these auction descriptions, Showtime Auction Services has endeavored to accurately describe all of the items being auctioned. However, all property is sold "As Is " with no guarantee as to the age, condition, size, quality, rarity, variety, importance, historical relevance or value of the items being sold. This is not an “Approval Auction”. All sales are final. However, should there be a sincere, legitimate dispute, you are asked to contact us and discuss a resolution. We will do our best to resolve the dispute in a fair, reputable and timely manner.
2. Bidding Disputes - The Auctioneer will make absolute and final judgment as to who is the successful bidder of each and every item in the auction whether it be a phone bidder an absentee bidder or an internet bidder. Phone, Absentee and Internet bidding is not a perfect science and there may be unforeseen human or technical errors occur. Showtime Auction Services will not be responsible for any errors that occur with Offsite Bidding. All bids are irrevocable and shall be in accordance with the conditions of the sale and be governed and interpreted by the laws of the state of Michigan. By bidding at the auction by written bid, telephone bid or internet bid or any other means, the buyer shall be deemed to the jurisdiction of the courts of the state of Michigan.
3. Notice –. All final auction and invoice information will be supplied by Showtime Auction Services and all other information should be considered invalid.
4. Winning Notification and Billing – After the Final session of this auction, Showtime Auction Services will send an email with an invoice to the winning bidder. This process normally takes up to 2 days. All final auction results and invoice information will be supplied by Showtime Auction Services only.
5. Title - Title to all items shall be passed to the successful bidder once the Auction is complete. The winning bidder shall assume Full Responsibility for the lot purchased once the title has passed with no exceptions.
6. Payment - All accounts are to be settled within 5 days of receipt of your invoice either by PayPal, Money Order, Cashiers Check, American Express, Visa, MasterCard or Wire Transfer. If we do not hear from you within 5 days, we will charge the credit card number you used when you registered for this auction.
7. Buyers Premium - A 20% buyers premium will be added to the winning bid amount for all bids.
8. Tax – There will be a 6% tax added to all purchases by Michigan Residents. All other winning bidders will pay a 6% sales tax unless they provide a valid resale number or they are shipping their items out of state.
9. Shipping – All items will be shipped within 21 days of receipt of payment. Navis Pack and Ship out of Novi, Michigan will handle all of the packing and shipping. Their phone number is 248-692-0007. Ask for Mary or Ross. Please be patient with the shipper as they will have hundreds of items to be shipped out from this auction.
10. Grievances - If you have a grievance with Showtime Auction Services we hope you will attempt to contact us in an effort to resolve it. We strive to make our customers happy.
