(Universal, 1990) This complex chess set is visible in Doc Brown’s 1955 timeline living room during the sequence when Marty (Michael J. Fox) plays against the dog, Copernicus. This intricately built prop features a stained wood game board surrounded by a steel frame with lattice top that attaches the complex wiring loom. Each chess piece has an attached wire at the top and ¼" male plugs at the bottom that plug into the female sockets mounted to the board. The underside of the board is a mass of complex wiring and appears like something right out of a 1950's Sci-Fi movie. Measures 18" square x 17" tall. This prop was originally used in the movie "War Games" (MGM 1983).
