TLS signed "Christopher," one page, 8 x 10, February 7, 1972. Letter to Evie, the widow of horror legend Boris Karloff, in full: "As promised at our last meeting, I am sending you four stills from "˜Corridors of Blood,"™ in which I appeared with Boris in 1958. Two of these are of Boris and of course you can keep them if you wish. The other two, which will be difficult to reproduce, merely form proof of our early association. I am also enclosing a transcript of a taped interview I gave as a memorial tribute to Boris. Because of the sincerity and intensity of my feelings at the time, some of this can and does appear to be rather fulsome and flowery. I was really saying openly what was going through my mind at the time. If you would like to extract anything at all from this tribute, you are of course welcome to anything I have mentioned or said, if it is of any help to you in the preparation of the book. I can only repeat my apologies for the rather gushing tone of this interview, which I am sure would have caused Boris to throw up his hands in mock despair, but as I said earlier, it is a fairly accurate account of my answers to the questions the interviewer asked me. Much love from us all and do let"™s meet again soon." In fine condition, with light creasing to the upper left.
