This auction sale catalog includes a history of the 1622 Fleet and the subsequent search and recovery of the 'Atocha' and 'Santa Margarita' by Mel Fisher, 360 lots of gold and silver cobs, gold chains, emerald rings, a bronze cannon, 4 astrolabes, a wide variety of artifacts, and both gold and silver bars from the 'Atocha' shipwreck, which sank in 1622 off the coast of Key West. This sale was the largest single auction of 'Atocha' material. Also included are 27 lots of gold cobs, ingots and jewelry from the 1715 Fleet, and 2 lots of gold ingots from the 1733 Fleet.
