One of the first Marine aviators and recipient of the Congressional Medal of Honor. Vintage 7.75 x 9.75 photo of Schilt as a two-star general, signed and inscribed in black ink “To: Captain Loren (Brownie) Bronleeve, USMC, with kindest regards and best wishes for your continued success, Frank Schilt, Major General U.S. Marines 1-14-51.” In very good condition, with lightly trimmed edges, moderate contrast to portions of signature and inscription, and a paperclip impression to top edge.
