(ca. 1950s-2000) Impressive vintage and contemporary collection of (65+) production related items including (24) black and white and color photos ranging in size from 4 x 6 in. to 8 x 10 in. featuring stage performances, cast and personal candids, (14) color slides from the 2000 GAP ad campaign, (20+) pages of typed and handwritten song lyrics, costume breakdowns, choreography layouts, (1) typed and signed 2-page letter from executive producer Dr. Marcel Prawy to Johnson discussing the casting of Adolf Dallapozza and other various production information, (1) typed copy 2-page letter (reference in other letter) from Prawy to Jack Lenny regarding budget and casting issues, (1) personal bound and bradded West Side Story script with handwritten, "Johnson" on the cover, "Alan Johnson" in blue ink on cover page, and pencil notations throughout, (1) personal bound and stapled German West Side Story script with handwritten, "Alan Johnson" in black ink on the cover with handwritten pencil notations throughout, (1) 150-page "choreographic manual of Jerome Robbin's West Side Story", (1) bound 105-page production schedule for the 1996 Japan tour, and (1) silver coin money clip measuring 2.25 x 1 in. engraved "Alan Johnson West Side Story Tokyo April 1, 1988" on the back. Exhibiting various degrees of age and production wear, the older scripts with page and cover wear, some paper loss, and 1-loose page from Japan schedule. Overall in fair to fine condition. $600 - $800
