The lot features a nice set of fully beaded Chippewa Cree Native American Indian men’s moccasins dating to circa 1950’s. The set shows a U.S. canvas tent or tipi material construction with harness saddle black lather soles and Indian tanned hide ankle lining with matching hide ties. The set has all glass trade seed and pony beads showing a rare semi-transparent red base with powerful symbols of corn yellow, semi-transparent greasy yellow, sky blue, cobalt, chalk white, and light blue. The outer edge of the moccasins shows a early red trade clothe border. The set appears to be in overall good condition with signs of use having wear marks on the sole from the wearer’s feet and some slight bead loss as shown. Overall displays very well. Each measures 12”L by 4”H by 5”W.
