This is a Chippewa Cree Native American Indian fancy dance ceremonial complete outfit dating to circa 1950-1960’s. The outfit consist of the dance warrior shirt, pants, front breech clout and rear breech clout. The breech clout is also referred to as the breechclout and loincloth and is a garment secured by a belt or tie at the waist which covers the wearers front and rear. The entire set shows outstanding original embroidery in bright rainbow coloring with wonderful long ribbon and very long yellow fringe. The dance outfit would have been worn at ceremonies of importance along with powwow’s. The outfit appears to be in overall good condition. The piece fits a size L men’s and would ship easily. Measures approximately when flat 67”x43”.
