Offered for sale in this lot is a nice set of fully beaded men’s arm cuffs with Grizzly Bear beadwork from the Chippewa Cree Native American Indians dating to the circa 1950’s. The set shows a U.S. tent canvas or tipi canvas construction with early red trade clothe covering and is covered in a wonderful geometric and pictorial glass trade seed and pony beadwork. The beadwork shows a rare unusual semi-transparent red background with corn yellow, maroon, semi-transparent iridescent, chalk white, sky padre blue, medium green, cobalt and semi-transparent greasy yellow Grizzly Bear pictorial symbol and powerful geometric symbols. The set shows later added leather ties with yellow silk like ribbon fringe, an artful additional. The set shows overall good condition with some very slight bead loss. Each cuff measures when closed 6.5”L by 5.25”W with an additional 8”L fringe.
