Two large leaves of native copper, a rock with a seam of chalcopyrite/bornite, and five pieces of iron pyrite -- all attributed to the Chino Mine near Silver City, New Mexico. One native copper piece is 7.5 x 7 x 0.05 inches and weighs about 174 grams. The other native copper is 7.5 x 6 x .05 inches and weighs about 101 grams. The rock with the ore seam is approx. 3 x 3 x 2 inches and weighs 312 grams. The shiny pyrites weigh 248, 222, 181, 90, and 82 grams. See photos for relative sizes and condition. The lot also includes a 1.6 x 1-inch oval copper key fob with the Kennecott ankh logo on one side and a bas relief image of the Chino open pit and a roadrunner (meep meep).
