Chinese suit of armor consisting of well forged helmet dating from the 17th to early 19th century associated with correct style hardened leather and painted breastplate and matching backplate with laced leather reinforcements also of the 19thcentury or earlier. The helmet shows some pitting and natural aging but is at least very good condition overall with excellent restorations to neck defense. The reinforced leather armor is very good plus also with just normal aging and wear.Chinese arms and armor of every type are quickly disappearing from the collectors market and this is an attractive set.
