This is No Cha, who is one of the most frequently mentioned heroes in Chinese mythology. No Cha was born with a gold bracelet on one wrist & attired in a pair of red gold trousers from which protruded rays of golden light. When he was 7 years old he was already over 6 feet in height. He performed many miraculous & heroic deeds, with the aid of his magic bracelet, when he was able to increase in size & use as a weapon. He was also proveded with wheels of fire which carried him from place to place. This wooden figure is hand carved, overlaid with gesso & then hand-painted. 7.25"H x 3"W x 4"D
