Remarks:
Of exceptional quality, this fabulous "high relief" repousse shrine has formed such a magnificent 3-D image of Maitreya (or Mi Le Fo). The face of theMaitreya (or Mi Le Fo) is an example of 18th/19th century Buddhist artistic workmanship and is priceless. His facial expression represents his traits - fully awakened, knowledgeable of the worlds, wise, and joyful, and his face clearly says it all - When Maitreya comes, he will be the successor of Shakyamuni.
