Chinese rare bronze ritual bell; Han to Tang dynasty; of pointed oval section, each side decorated with six horizontal panels enclosing three bosses cast in the form of coiled beast; separated by narrow bands of raised swirling pattern with a central plain vertical panel incised with seal scripts; the lower part of the bell further decorated with similar intertwining pattern; surmounted by a curved handle decorated by a pair of stylized chilong; overall with a pale grayish-green patina; H: 27 cm, W: 12 cm, L :17 cm, 3300 grams
