Qing Period celadon jade tripod censer and cover; squat ovoid body raised on three cabriole legs detailed with xenomorphic beast faces, with a pair of openwork carved large mythical beast handles, each projecting from the shoulder and suspending loose rings; domed cover with three projecting handles in dual ruyi-head form and suspending loose rings, surmounted by a carved openwork beast in contorted position: its beard and mane with finely incised hair and facial features; the stone of dark celadon colouration with dark suffusions and rivering (missing one suspended loose dome ring); the stone of translucent dark celadon tone; L: 13 cm, H: 13 cm, D: 8 cm, 593 grams, openwork wood stand
