Around the body of this Chinese famille-rose jar is an enamelled painting of a young boy, accompanied by a old Taoist priest and followed a court official, presenting a giant peach, symbol of longevity, to the emperor behind him standing two court ladies. On the cover top is a picture of two mandarin officials playing chess with two young assistances hold wine pot and fan aside, and a bat in the sky symbolizing good luck and happiness. Un-marked but circa Tongzhi period(1862-1874), Height is 7" and Diameter is 5 5/8".
