8.5 x 5.5" ledger, about 100+pp, all in Chinese, from the Sherman Collection out of Tucson.
This lot is from Tombstone, circa 1880-1900. It is a Chinese druggist's prescription book, discussing specific remedies, many to be made from natural ingredients. It also discusses when to take the medicine, including "in the dry season."
We have not had a Chinese translator transcribe the book.
It has mold spots on the edges and front and back pages. We DO NOT represent that this book is in perfect condition, nor do we render an opinion of conservation, since many institutions do not have a trained conservationist. We would, however, recommend the folks at Ann Arbor, Mass at the Northeast document restoration group. The contents are generally just fine.
