Chinese jade inset wooden table screen, the rectangular celadon jade plaque featuring a pair of scholars drinking tea in a outdoor setting surrounded by imaginary landscapes with a pair of cranes, gnarling pines and half-revealed pavilions, all reversed by a pair of five character couplets by Wang Anshi which read 'qiang jiao shu zhi mei, ling han du zhi kai; yao zhi bu shi xue, wei you an xiang lai' followed by an apocryphal Qianlong mark, the plaque set within a reticulated wooden frame fitted into a freestanding base accented by further open work, base: 12.75''l, jade: 7.75''l
