The two-handled caudle cup
depicting a lady and a boy observing two
shepherds tending their sheep under a pine
tree, painted in rose, blue, yellow and green.
The
scalloped
and barbed rim with iron red double border,
the center of saucer with raised rim<p>2 3/4
in. (7 cm.) high; saucer:
5 1/8 in. (13 cm.) diam.
<p>
Caudle cups also called porringers were
used for warm spiced gruel called caudle
or posset.
