Chinese Etchings, framed pair of original paper fiber embossed etchings by Mr. Yu Yuen Hong, a noted Hong Kong artist, etchings are made using handmade grass fiber paper that is pressed by metal or wood plates, the pair depicts the traditional fishing boats or ''junks'', Chinese born in Indonesia, from the University in China in 1973, in 1978 started to organize art exhibiitions in Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore, Taiwan and also take part in many important international exhibitions, he is a chairman of Hong Kong Exhibris, his works are sold in Art Galleries in Australia, Canada, China, Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore, Taiwan, USA. The style is primitive, crude but yet artistic. The plain and semi-three-dimensional embossment surface produces a subtle depiction of modern art. The black matting suggests a strong sense of mystery of Chinese culture. This intensified personal style gets Mr. Yu's works to be selected in the Contemporary Hong Kong Art Biennial Exhibition (1985 and 1987) of the Hong Kong Urban Council.
