Fantastic Vintage Archaic Handle Porcelain Vase Ching Dynasty; of the K?ang ? hsi period (1662 ?1722) attributed to the kilns of Ching-te-chen. One of the earliest known examples of mass production workshops among a great number of workman. One man does nothing but draw the first color line beneath the rims of the pieces, another traces flowers, while a third paints; this man is painting water or mountains and that one either birds or other animals, etc. Products from the private kilns of Ching-te-chen, vary considerably, the majority of the plates, dishes bowls and vases have certain common characteristics. The glaze is bluish in tone without any of the orange-skin appearance seen both on Ming and early nineteenth-century porcelain. There are often small imperfections in the form of irregular small black spots clearly visible in this vase. The unglazed foot rims are sometimes burnt a pale orange buff.
