Chinese Archaistic Bronze Hu Vase with Bird Motif
Archaistic bronze hu-form vessel featuring raised relief motifs of stylized birds encircling the midsection, echoing early Chinese ritual bronzes. The tapered neck is adorned with archaistic inscriptions in raised script and flanked by animal mask handles, each supporting a loose ring. A square seal mark is cast on the base. The vessel exhibits a mottled green patina from natural oxidation, adding depth to its surface. Likely produced during the late Qing dynasty or early Republic period as a revival of Western Zhou bronze artistry.
