Frank Kenjockety, also called Chief Strong Fox (born 1871) was the leader of the Cayuga Tribe of the Iroquois Nation and later in the 1890's started a vaudeville troupe called, "Kenjockety's Hippodrome and Wild West Show." The show was called the, “Real American Indians in Costume – Direct from the U.S. Gov’t Indian Reservation.” The show gained great fame and notoriety. Included with the lot are original photographs of Chief Strong Fox, his wife, family and act. The photograph showing his family and traveling members shows in the center left Leona (Chief’s wife) and to the right Mabel Kenjockety (the Chief’s daughter), and Chief Strong Fox.
