Member of the Bear Clan of the Mohawk Tribe in Canada (1886–1955). He became a successful singer, studying the musical traditions of other tribes, while spreading those of his own tribe. Vintage pearl-finish 5.25 x 7 photo, signed in fountain pen, “Greetings Oskenonton.” Scattered silvering to darker areas and mild rubbing to finish, otherwise fine condition.
