Lot of 7 teaspoons, 8” long. 1) A beautiful sterling silver spoon made by C.D. Peacock of Chicago. The plain bowl is topped by depictions of the Chinese Temple and the Carillon Tower, with “A Century of Progress” embossed at the top of the handle. On the reverse of the handle is a panorama of the Ft. Dearborn Massacre of 1812, and “Chicago in 1833.” The House of Peacock first began in 1837 when Elijah opened his jewelry and watch repair shop. The business survived the great fire of 1871 and eventually, in 1889, Elijah passed the business on to his son Charles Daniel Peacock and changed the name of the company to C.D. Peacock. His tradition of quality and service carries through even today [Ref: www.cdpeacock.com/index.jsp?content=article&section=412...]. 2-3) Two spoons made by Oneida Community Co.
