Chicago Firearms Protector Palm Pistol in Scarce Blue Finish

Manufactured in the 1890s, without the typical floral pattern accents on the barrel and frame or the standard full-nickel finish. Produced without sights, with the model and patent markings on the frame and the Chicago Firearms address on the side plate. The frame, side plate and magazine are numbered to match, with "IN'S" stamped inside the frame near the serial number. Fitted with knurled panels on the frame, side plate and firing lever.

Very fine, with 80% of the original blue finish, showing areas of brown patina and mild spotting and handling marks. Grips are good, with a thin horizontal crack through the firing lever panel. Internally, the firing pin hole has been expanded for a center-fire pin (note: pistol is configured for rimfire), otherwise mechanically very good.
