Harper, obverse depicts Chicago in flames, angel flying above, Fort Dearborn in exergue, reverse depicts a mythical phoenix rising from the flames, legend above "Made from Chicago Court House Bell"; a <B>second, white metal,</B></I> same obverse as the first, reverse reads in multiple lines "Second anniversary memorial in commemoration of the great Chicago fire, Oct. 8, 9 1871," in the center the caption "Made at the Interstate Industrial Exposition of Chicago, Oct 1873, Chicago rebuilt, pop. 400,000 in 1823 pop. 50.
