SN: 9389 Cased antique palm squeeze double action turret revolver chambered in .32 Rimfire Short, manufactured in Chicago, IL circa 1890’s. This unique firearm design was originally patented & produced in France by Jacques Edmond Turbiaux, soon after Peter H. Finnegan bought the patent and mass-produced the revolver in America under Chicago Fire Arms Company. Features a nickel plated finish with light coverage floral embellishments, 1 3/4" round barrel, 7 round disc cylinder, grip safety, and smooth black hard rubber side plates. Matching serial numbers are found on the frame, cylinder and side plate. The metal side plate discs are marked "CHICAGO FIRE ARMS CO. CHICAGO, ILL.” & "THE PROTECTOR PAT. MCH. 6.83. AUG. 29.93." Includes a period leather wrapped hinged display case with fitted interior. Revolver retains approximately 95% of its original nickel plated finish showing scattered handling marks and small losses. Action is in need of repair as depressing the palm squeeze trigger does not engage the hammer, the bore is excellent, the markings are clear and the hard rubber sideplates are very good with wear.
