<td width="100%">
Beautiful hand painted vase executed by Chicago studio artist Joseph R. Kittler. Vase depicts the beautiful portrait of a woman surrounded by wheat and flowers, hence the "harvest goddess" identity. According to the Encyclopedia of Pickard China, by Alan B. Reed, Kittler worked for both the Stouffer and Donath studios, before establishing his own studio in 1922. Vase stands just over 12" tall, and measures approximately 4 1/2" across the widest spot. Condition is very good-to-excellent, with no chips, cracks, or repairs. Some minor wear to the gold trim, primarily around the inside of the top rim, as shown in the close up photo. Signed by the artist, J.R. Kittler. Porcelain blank is unmarked. Member, Pickard Collector's Club.
