Cheyenne Parfleche Flat Case circa early 1900's - This is made of smoked brain tan Buffalo Rawhide and sewn with brain tan deer hide. There is a genuine buffalo rail and hide effigy attached. Has good patina and distress for age. The original of this bag is mentioned in "The American Indian Parfleche (on page 117)" and is on display in the Smithsonian Institution collected by William Wildschut and is from 1860. This piece was done in the early 1900's by the Cheyenne people. Measure 9"x10.5"
