The moccasins are sinew sewn and have a black background with geometric colored designs. These show impressive condition with little to no bead loss. These have a black Indian tanned hide with Buffalo Indian hide soles. This was purchased from the King Saddlery Museum in Sheridan, Wyoming where the Ernst Family had the collection displayed. The pieces were original collected and sold by Otto F. Ernst in the 19th century. Otto Ernst was a renowned Saddle Maker and would purchase Native American items to sell in his Saddle shop and Catalog. Otto Ernst Saddlery Sheridan, Wyoming. The moccasins are from circa 1880-1890.
