This is an exceptional Cheyenne Native American Indian fully beaded pipe tobacco bag from circa 1880-1890. Th piece shows excellent 19th century glass trade seed beads and porcupine quillwork on Indian tanned hide. The piece shows a museum quality condition with little to no bead loss. Provenance: From a large Native American Indian Collection in Billings, Montana (the same collection as the Blackfoot War Shirt that Skinners Auction sold for $600,000). The piece displays very well and is truly a fantastic example of the iconic Cheyenne Pipe Bags. The authentic piece measures 34"L x 6 5/8"W. The piece was valued/appraised at over $5,000 by a Native American Expert (no document).
