This is an original Cheyenne Native American Indian beaded flat bag. The bag shows a double sided beadwork design with the front having a large cross with fancy beaded, 19th century glass trade seed beads (cobalt, sky blue, Cheyenne pink, deep red and more all sinew sewn). This was purchased from the King Saddlery Museum in Sheridan, Wyoming where the Ernst Family had the collection displayed.. The pieces were original collected and sold by Otto F. Ernst in the 19th century. Otto Ernst was a renowned Saddle Maker and would purchase Native American items to sell in his Saddle shop and Catalog. Otto Ernst Saddlery Sheridan, Wyoming.
