The lot features this original circa 1890 beaded Buffalo hide pipe bag attributed to the Northern Cheyenne Native American Indians of Wyoming. The pipe bag is from the past collection of Ted and Lilly Jarvis and Tom Hardy and shows an excellent condition with only minor drying and discoloration of the hide from age and use. The bag is constructed of brain tanned Great American Bison Buffalo hide and is beaded in classic Cheyenne linear bar geometric designs in all glass trade seed beads of red, greasy yellow, padre sky blue, black, and chalk white. The bag shows beadwork on both sides and has the original tie straps still intact along with long frilly hide fringe hanging from the bottom, a wonderful addition. The piece measures overall 19”L
