Autograph letter signed by WWII Fleet Admiral Chester W. Nimitz. Dated 8 December 1956 from Berkeley and written in pen upon a 5.5'' x 3'' card, the letter wishes a Mr. C.J. Treston Happy Holidays and thanks him for a Christmas card and stamps. Signed upon the verso, ''C.W. Nimitz.'' Includes the original envelope addressed in Nimitz’s handwriting, which along with the letter, is pasted to a 5.75” x 7.25” strip of paper; bottom of card is also glued to top of envelope. Card is lightly toned, otherwise very good.
