<B>Chester A. Arthur Document Signed</B></I>, partially printed, one page, 22.75" x 19", Washington, December 21, 1881. A commission naming . Pierre C. Van Wyck as Superintendent of the New York Assay Office. The document is counter-signed by J. C.<B> </B></I>Bancroft Davis as Acting Secretary of State. The document is neat and clean with a paper seal of the United States. The Arthur signature has a slight burr in the initial. Folds, else near fine. The commission comes with the original transmittal envelope.
