1803 This is a ledger from the town of Cherry Valley, New York and has entries that date from 1803 to 1855. Entries include business transactions, as well as prose, poetry and school lessons. Names entered through the years include Becker’s Store, Haddock the Clothier, and Davis the Shoemaker. There is also a mention of Oliver Mores, William Smith, Reverend Adam Craig of Binghamton, NY and Cobbles Hill. This is an extremely rare and unique ledger, that shows the scarcity of writing paper in those days as pages are missing, possible for letter writing and school purposes. The cloth covers are with it, however, the book should be rebound, as the front cover is detatched. Lynn Langdon Collection - HKA#65299
