Gilliam Stewart, measures 3''H x 2.75''W, features domed top accented with incised scrollwork and crosshatch designs, signed on bottom by artist, P.J. Gilliam Stewart (Cherokee) was born in the capital of the Cherokee Nation, Tahlequah, Oklahoma. She creates traditional and contemporary pottery. She has a fine art degree from the Northeastern State University in Tahlequah. She continues to research the pottery methods and designs used by her ancestors. Her work has received numerous awards. P.J. and her family live on her grandmother's original Cherokee Land Allotment. P.J.'s work is sought nationally and internationally.
