Large collection of clay pot shards collected by Roswell Georgia Native American researcher Mrs. Albert T Bradley Junior along the banks of the Chattahoochee River near Roswell, Georgia. This collection of hundreds of pot shards was collected in rural Georgia in the 1940s through the 1950s. They include a number of shards with widely differing patterns, from crosshatches, to circles, a variety of geometric patterns as well as circular patterns, indented patterns, and perhaps more rarely painted patterns. At least one shard shows a three-dimensional image of a pig. Some shards appear to protrude from the pot, indicating the possibility of a footed base. This is a fascinating study group. Probably all Cherokee. Mrs. Bradley collected only one full pot, also in this sale. State: Georgia City: Date:
