<B>Chatham, UC- The Bank of Chatham</B></I> $3 Feb. 3, 1837 Ch. # 135-10-06<BR> This short lived bank was established by a group from Buffalo, New York, evidently for the purpose of circulating its notes in that community. All of the very few known examples are dated in January and February of 1837, and none is priced in any grade higher than Fine in the Charlton reference. This example, the first we have ever handled from this institution, grades a nice <B>Fine-Very Fine,</B></I> and is actually considerably closer to the higher grade than the lower. <BR><I>From The Thomas M.
