Charming and exquisite fine quality Persian Tafresh Rug. 100% natural, hand-woven, vegetable dye, baby lamb's wool pile on cotton foundation. This is a remarkable example of artistic Tafresh stylized fish design on a heartwarming rose color background embracing a charming central medallion and ultimately framed by a Talesh design border of contrasting beige. Tafresh is a small town between Hamedan and Qum. Tafresh rugs may resemble Hamedans, however they are by far of higher quality and workmanship. They have a certain presence about them, which may be partially due to its proximity to Qum; where some of the finest quality and artistic rugs are produced. Also compared to Hamedans, rugs from Tafresh have a higher number of knots per square inch. Therefore a variety of floral design and geometric patterns can be achieved. This is a perfect example of a sophisticated looking Tafresh. The creases in this rug are due to fold. They are not a defect. Size: 5 feet X 3 feet. Country of origin: Iran.
