Included in this lot we have a State Line Club event poster featuring Charlie Barnet and his Orchestra originating from the 1940's. Charlie Barnet (1913-1991) was an American songwriter, arranger, saxophonist, and manager of a jazz band. Barnet started his own band in 1933 and helped many musicians start their careers including Billy May, Bill Miller, and Lena Horne. The poster displays a graphic of Barnet's face toward the center with a yellow background. The poster is marked across the top reading "State Line Club Sat., May 29 - 18 Miles West of Williston on Highway No. 2" and marked in the center reading "In Person Charlie Barnet and his Orchestra". The piece shows good condition overall with some wear due to age and use. The poster measures 21 3/4" tall by 13 1/2" wide.
