Blue tuxedo jacket and pants, worn by comedian Charles Winninger in the 1937 Technicolor comedy Nothing Sacred. Jacket has no label but the inner sleeve is stamped "UCI Suit 345". Accented with black satin lapels and upturned cuffs. The pants feature black satin stripes down the legs and feature a United Costumers label with Winninger's name handwritten with a production number of 678 C. Winninger was an enduring comedic presence of Hollywood's Golden Age and appeared in such films as Show Boat, Destry Rides Again and Ziegfeld Girl. Also includes a hangtag issued by Warner Bros., with Winninger's name handwritten on it. Sourced from WB, who bought out United Costumers entire stock.
