Composer (1881-1946) of operas on Indian themes, choral works, and hundreds of songs. Vintage signed handwritten musical manuscript, one page of musically lined paper, both sides, 10.25 x 13.5. Cadman pens a total of 98 bars of music and notations for multiple instruments, to his opera ‘Da-o-ma,’ including flute, clarinet, drums, percussion, violin, cello, and bass. Signed at the top, “A page from the Indian opera ‘Da-o-ma’ Charles Wakefield Cadman.” In very good to fine condition, with a central horizontal fold, a uniform shade of toning, and scattered light soiling.
