Film director (1900–1959) best known for directing Gilda, Love Me or Leave Me, and Farewell to Arms. DS, two onionskin pages, 8.5 x 11, December 29, 1951. Document from Samuel Goldwyn Productions extending a $7500 advance payment for a previous contract in which Vidor agreed to offer his “services as a director in connection with our photoplay now entitled ‘Hans Christian Andersen.’” In fine condition, with a few mild creases, a couple areas of trivial toning, office notations to lower left, and expected filing and staple holes to the top. Hans Christian Andersen, released in 1952, was nominated for six Oscars.
